Equine Assisted Counseling/Horse Therapy

horsesWe had more free time last summer than usual when school was out and I decided to take my children for some sibling bonding through horse therapy.  They enjoyed visiting the farm once a week during the summer months and it was a nice break from the normal routine.

I enjoyed the focus on nurturing their relationship and the horses were very peaceful and serene.  Although the therapy was technically for my kids, I found it to be therapeutic for me as well.

What sort of ‘out-of-the-box’ types of therapies have you tried or considered?
